Terms of Use

Effective 2026-10-30 · Last updated 2026-10-30

1. Who we are

AEO Toolkit is operated by Advance Labs Inc., a federal corporation in Ontario, Canada (92-971 Adelaide St S, London, ON N6E 2H3). “We” and “us” mean Advance Labs Inc. “The service” means the console at aeo.advancelabs.dev: the audit tools, the dashboard and the MCP servers. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16. If you use the service for a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business to these terms, and “you” includes it.

3. Your account

Sign in with an email link, GitHub or Google. Give us accurate details, keep your sign-in methods secure, and tell us at lucas@advancelabs.dev if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person should not share one account.

4. The free plan and limits

The free plan lets you track a small number of sites and customer questions and run a limited number of checks, suggestions and saved audits each month. The current allowances are on our pricing page. Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month in UTC.

Checks cost us money because each one is answered by a third-party AI engine. We also keep a company-wide monthly capacity. If we reach it, we may pause new checks for everyone until the next period, even if you have allowance left. We may change the free plan’s limits or features, and will give notice of material reductions (section 15).

Paid plans are agreed with us separately, by email or a written order. Their price, limits and any billing terms are in that agreement, which sits alongside these terms. If the two conflict, the agreement wins for that plan.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service to break the law, or to store or send unlawful content;
  • abuse the service, for example by going around limits, creating accounts to get more free allowance, or putting load on it that is meant to degrade it;
  • scrape the service or use automated means to extract data from it, other than the MCP servers and APIs we offer for that purpose;
  • attack, probe or test the security of the service without our written permission, or interfere with other users;
  • use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages;
  • add a domain to analyse unless you own it or are entitled to analyse it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or copy the hosted console, except as the open-source licences on our audit packages allow (section 8).

6. AI answers

Results come from third-party AI engines (currently Perplexity, OpenAI and Google models with live web search) and from automated audits. Those engines can be wrong, can give different answers to the same question, and change without notice. What we show is a measurement at one moment, not a guarantee of your ranking, visibility or traffic, and it is not legal, financial or other professional advice. Check anything important yourself before you rely on it.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add: your domains, brand terms, competitors and questions. You give us a limited licence to store, process and send that content to the third-party services needed (see the Privacy Policy) for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. The licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from backups and records we must keep. You promise you have the right to give us what you add.

8. Our intellectual property

The audit engine packages (scoring, crawler, HTML parser, net-guard, schema validator and related libraries) are open source under the Apache-2.0 licence at github.com/Advance-Labs/aeo-toolkit. That licence, not these terms, governs your use of that code.

The hosted console, including its design, text, brand and dashboard, is proprietary to Advance Labs Inc. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it as these terms allow. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

9. Third-party services

The service depends on others, including Supabase, Vercel, Perplexity, OpenAI, Google, GitHub, Resend and Stripe. Their outages, changes and terms are outside our control, and some of their terms apply to you when you use the features that use them (for example, connecting your Google account). If you connect Google Analytics or Search Console, you confirm you may do so and you can revoke access at any time in your Google account.

10. Suspension and ending

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account (see the Privacy Policy). We can suspend or close an account, with notice where practical, if you break these terms, if you put the service or others at risk, or if the law requires. We may also end the free plan or the service itself; if we do, we will give reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, law) do.

11. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and the free plan is offered without charge. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that results will be accurate or complete. Some laws give consumers rights that cannot be waived, and nothing in these terms takes those away.

12. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for fraud, for gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, or for death or personal injury.

13. Indemnity

If you use the service for a business, you will cover reasonable costs and losses we suffer from a third-party claim caused by content you added without the right to, or by your breach of the acceptable use rules, provided we tell you promptly and let you help defend the claim. This does not apply to individuals using the service as consumers.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over disputes, except that nothing here removes a right you have to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction if the law gives you that right.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell signed-in users by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not agree, stop using the service and ask us to close your account.
